I need help with the idiom "splitting atoms". Does it mean doing nothing special?

I haven'y heard it either. I would have said it meant splitting atoms. :wink:

"splitting atoms" Splitting hairs is the same thing. Means being too pickyuni.

I've heard it in reference to a tedious act; a difficult act; an unbelievable/incomprehensible act. :)
