Default Learn American idioms

Hey all, I like this forum. I didn't find it until a week ago. I am an English learner, I am ok with writing and reading. But I have hard time communicating with native speaks. I now kinda figure that learning English idioms is very important. I found this site: http://www.YouZiEnglish.com is cool. It has idiom of the day as well as this site: http://www.answers.com/library/Idioms

Cool Re: Learn American idioms

a very useful thing that I have found in learning idioms is to try to include them in your daily language. For example, I didn't know what "out of the blue" ment, but now I know and use it. It is said that you need to be involved 12 times with a certain term to actually learn it!

I don't know if it's exactly 12 times but it's really good advice though.

I agree with you. I think the best way to learn an expression is actually to use it as quickly as possible after learning/hearing it.
