Hi Everyone,

I just registered, so greetings to Everyone.
England is a very fine country, I like it here.
I am Polish, I came to the UK recently.

I was wondering if there is some kind of an idiom (didn't find
it on the idiom's web page) to express we owe something to someone?
I keep repeating "I owe you a beer...", but I fear I will finally go bancrupt
by buying beers

In Polish when someone helps us we say:
"I am your debtor...."

Is this also correct in English? Can we use this kind of an expression
in other situations than financial?

"I am indebted to you" can be used in situations other than financial, I believe.

"I owe you one" can be used in almost any situation.

"I owe you one" can be used in almost any situation.

... or even just 'I owe you' [this is quite informal, but would avoid the possible expense due to alcoholic interpretations of 'one' ]
