Default Tom Swifties

A Tom Swiftie is a sentence in which the description of how the speaker says a sentence applies to the meaning of the sentence itself.

"Sorry those darts ended up in your face," Tom said aimlessly.
"I love math," Tom added.
"That squirrel stole my cookie," Tom chattered.
"What an ugly dog," Tom muttered.

How about,

"I'm not a crook!", Nixon fingered. :D
