Right off
Hi everyone,
I just saw in a film the expression:
"Right off our own coast, German U-boats prowled the waters, looking for a kill."
What does right off mean in such a context? I haven't found it anywhere.
Thanks!

Re: Right off
In this instance, right off means "a short distance from."
