to defend , to help someone

example :
when someone needs help , i'll go to bat for him or her

sweep(one) off (one's)feet

to overwhelm someone with one's power , skill , looks , personality. and so on

example :
he is a real gallant ,his manner swept Ellen off her feet

made of money - very rich

EXAMPLE
1: My neighbor is re-modeling his house to look like Versailles.
He doesn't have good taste, but he certainly is made of money.
EXAMPLE


2: Max should be willing to loan you $10,000 to start your new
business. He's made of money.
SYNONYMS: loaded; rolling in dough; to have money to burn

to have sth up one's sleeve

keep sth secret for use at right time in future
example:
i'm not worried about the meeting as i have sth up my sleeve if they try to cause me a problem .

The idiom that makes me laugh every time I hear someone say that is:

Don't be such a stick in the mud - don't be so reluctant to do things that are out of the box. A person who is simply boring,unspontaneous

Also, when you sweep sb off their feet, you make them fall in love with you.
