My favourite one is "pull someone's leg": it means to Joke
it's very funny when i translate it to spanish, becouse it has no sense jiji

"-What is that?
-it must be a dead corp
-What? Aaaaaa!
-don't worry is just a sheet. I was pulling your leg"

It's used when a problem is exaggerated.

Example:
"The bomb threat turned out to be a storm in a tea cup" could be used if a building was evacuated for a bomb threat that turned out to be a prank.

You sometimes see it used in news headlines.

My personal favourite: "The dog's bollocks".

Hope I don't get told off for that one.

No problem. The dog's bollocks is used to describe something as "the best" or "excellent."

"Wayne Rooney's goal was the dog's bollocks."

It's not really used outside of Britain though, and I wouldn't recommend using it in polite conversation.
