Let´s write idioms

How about let´s write sentences here using two or more idioms in it. This is to practice and master the proper use of the idioms that we know.

Me first :

John feels like I´m getting in his hair when I tagged along him in the park that he saw red and hollered that I should get off his back.

A : What´s the matter?

B : (silence)

A : What´s eating you? Cat got you´re tongue?

B : I´m tying the knot next month. I was on pins and needles about it before but talking to her parents got me wishy-washy now.

Tdol, could you please explain what you mean by that?
Do you mean it should be of instead of off in "I washed my hands off something (gambling etc)?
