Hello!
i'm actually trying to translate -in french- correctly this "bad bit of a business" (the context is sports)
does anyone got an idea?

I'm not sure without any context : what about (faire) le sale boulot, le côté le moins plaisant , l'aspect le plus ingrat de l'affaire, de l'aventure du travail. I might be off the topic.
