In future - please provide the sentence/context for your phrases.

#1 Put a number on someone - mark them out for some action [probably unpleasant]

#2 Get green - slogan meaning "Pay more attention to being ecologically aware".

I have not heard the one about a number. I agree it does not sound good to have the number put on you.
