push the envelope
meaning someone who takes chances or risks doing sth.
same with 'think outside the box?' I think this one is more of magic or imaginary.
Do I push the right button?

I think you are trying to mix apples and oranges. lol (laughing out loud)
Push the envelope is trying to stuff so much in until it almost breaks. It is like stepping over the line. You go as far as possible and then you try to move the line a little further. Children are always stepping over the line or pushing the envelope during their learning curve.
It is like trying to go beyond what is currently possible into uncharted territory.
Thinking outside the box means to gather and entertain new information upon which you can base new and different ideas and thoughts. It is also pushing your thoughts into uncharted territory and thinking outside the box could cause you to push the envelope.
Pushing the right button is altogether a different concept. This has more to do with actions, reactions and provocations.

Thanks for joining the "Fruit Mixing" game. LOL!
Here is my comprehension.
Mike: That girl in my class is gorgeous, I want to ask her out today.
Ron: That's very nice. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Mike: But I'm not an outgoing person. I'm chicken.
Ron: You have to push the envelope. Just give it a try!
There are some interesting examples relating to 'think outside the box.'
Are you trapped inside the box?
Can you think 'outside of the box'?
It means leaving behind frustration, anger, stress, and fear.
Can you be creative?
Can you manifest in a reality of infinite possibilities?
I love this one.
We also have Jack in the Box
who is the Clown, Trickster, Joker
who is linked to the elements of surprise
music, geometry and The Game of 3D.
When you think 'out of the box'
you can think beyond his Game.
Do I push the right button? I heard someone said it's a question that you ask someone if you are right or not.

I heard that 'pushing the envelope' comes from flying, when they were trying to break the sound barrier.

You've been hanging out here, haven't you? ;)

It is like trying to go beyond what is currently possible into uncharted territory.
Yup!
"The idea of an envelope as a kind of enclosing boundary is of
course not new. In 1899 Arnold Bennett wrote: 'My desire is to
depict the deeper beauty while abiding by the envelope of facts.'"
Much older than aviation.

I posted this before, and I didn't get anyone's confirmation. I want to make sure if I grasp the whole idea. Would you help?

I don't think it suits the situation. There are no limits to be pushed here, just shyness to fight. To push the envelope mean you already do something, but you try and do it even farther/better/stronger etc.
Assert yourself/let yourself go/pluck up your courage etc. are more appropriate.
Just my opinion,
