Default Get more kicks than halfpennies

Hi all,
I have a doubt about the meaning of the following:
«I shall get more kicks than halfpennies doing that»
I was thinkig about two possible meanings:

1.- I am going to have more lows than highs

2.- I will receive more pleasure than money doing that (whatever), I shall do that just for fun, not for the money.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Neither is quite right. It means: "I will not receive anything of any value from doing this."
