The situation in Iran is only the tip of the iceberg. The real danger lies across the entire Middle East.

["Tip of the iceberg" = only a very small part of a situation is evident - a great deal more underlies it]

Blow one's top
He is a proud man and always blows his top in front of others. ok; would be better with "often" rather than "always".
