I have never met this. What is the full context for it?
What does the expression 'It's egg rolling thick and heavy mean?"

Well, I'm not Dutch - please, do tell![]()
Hi Susiedgqq,
here goes the song:
"If you're the only one
Will I ever be enough?
Hail hail the lucky ones
I refer to those in love
Swore I'd love till the day I die
And beyond
Are we going to the same place?
If so, can I come?
It's egg rolling thick and heavy
The past we carry
I could be new
You underestimate me"
Hi Banderas,
Thanks for your response![]()
Indeed, that’s the song! But I have to say that I never heard the expression in Dutch either
(maybe because I’m not Dutch but Flemish).
But could it mean ‘ it has become a burden, or a boring routine’? Or am I on the wrong track?
Groetjes
Vano
It could mean anything. We should ask Pearl Jam. But seriously, the lyrics is about two people in a relationship struggling to hold it together. My interpretation of "It's egg rolling thick and heavy" is:
it (our relationship) is very difficult because "she" expects too much from "him". Your guess is right then: it is a burden, indeed!
