Susan could say fifty-fifty, but that is different. Go Dutch is paying for your own food but fifty-fifty is each paying equally, 50% of the total bill.

I don't know that many persons in their forties or more who are still fancy-free (which seems to be a sort of synonym for "going Dutch", according to you).
