, and the like.
Hi,
I saw this in an article:
planets, stars, satelites, and the like.
Does "and the like" means etc. ?
Is it popular in english?
Thank you,
Ali

Thak you Francois for help.
Why do we need a comma before and?
"planets, stars, satelites, and the like."
Thanks again,
Ali

A comma before 'and' in lists is optional.
