Someone said "meedly-meedly-mee" in a conversation, what does it exactly mean? He's from N. Ireland, could it be some particular expression they've got over there? Or is it known in "general" English? Thank you :)
It is meaningless - but represents a series of musical chords.

In the Strong Bad Email "guitar", Strong Bad uses the onomatopoeia "meedly meedly MEE!" to describe the sound of high-pitched note on a guitar.

The first place I saw it was in a Strongbad video at Everybody! Everybody!. Strongbad was doing his imitation of what a heavy metal guitar solo sounds like So "meedly meedly mee" has become shorthand among many rock fans for "bad generic metal solo."
Strongbad gets the credit here too.
