Hi everybody, I just wanted to ask some questions ...
what is the meaning of "i'm just off to bed !!" ?
, "tall dark stranger" ??
and also can I say "night'' instead of good night ?


because i was chatting with one of my friends from UK and he told me those statements but i wasn't having the chance to ask him about their meanings ... I think that there meanings are so clear but I just wanted to make sure of them ...I'll be grateful to know the answer from this great forum

This is an informal way of saying, "I'm going to bed."

"tall dark stranger"

This refers to a 'mystery man' who, in movies and stories about the old West, rides into town, and whom the story then revolves around.
Also, fortune tellers reading crystal balls will tell the sitter that 'a tall dark stranger' will come into their lives ( and the sitter hopes he will also be handsome and marry her!)
