To walk the walk and talk the talk

Hello everybody !

I've difficulties in finding the meaning of that idom...i knew the one that says "to walk the talk" which i understood "to do what you say"....

If someone could help me please ? Thanks

hmmmm,This is one of the expressions I like to use......

for instance,if someone promises...I prefer to use this,he or she needs to do things as they say...... I need not words,I need actions... something like that

'To talk the talk' means that you are able to talk theoretically about how something is/should be done; but if one has 'walked the walk', the person has had first hand, practical experience of putting the theory into practice (and so learning that what happens in practice is not always 'according to the book', and so the person has had to adjust, to solve some problem that has occurred in the practical situation.

So, if a person is said to be able to 'talk the talk' only, it means he can spout all the theory but has no real practical experience of putting the theory into action.

Can you walk the talk? Can you act on your speech?

Can you give examples of when we can use this idiom?

In our local high schools there are groups of religiously minded students who meet regularly. Their groups are called Walk the Talk.
To them, this means 'We set ourselves the challenge of living the beliefs (walking) we profess with words (talk).
