thanks,

I have only heard of "Bet the bank, or bet the farm" Meaning that you have placed all your trust/money in one thing.

for example: A friend comes to you with an idea for a new business, and he is very enthusiastic that it will succeed. He could say to you "I have bet the bank on this venture." Meaning that he has put all his money/savings in it.

It's going to rain tomorrow. You can bet the bank on it.

Meaning: it's a sure thing, so sure that all the money in the bank could be bet on it.
