| Pirelli (singular)is the name of a huge, Italian based, multi-national company; that produce tires for vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. They focus on high technology and high performance tires. Meaning- So, did you [perhaps] hear it from a song "my Pirellis' on role.." ? If so, the artist is probably, intentionally using the phrase improperly. Maybe, to make it sound more like slang. 1. "role" probably supposed to be spelled roll. Example: rolling on tires 2. "Pirellis" is just the plural form(more than one) of Pirelli. Hope that helps. | Without context, the phrase is probably "My Pirellis [my expensive high tech care tyre] are on a roll" = I am moving very fast But full context would help. |

There's also a double-meaning. On a roll is slang for having good luck. So the car isn't just moving fast. The driver is bragging that he/she is lucky enough to have a fast, expensive car. On a roll is always temporary, however - what's called a winning streak. [I edit copy and have tutored college writing.] |
