| This is my first post after "searching" for the answer w/o any luck.... Is there a site that offers the "origin" of idioms vs or in addition to their meaning ?? I know that I can ask the question regarding a specific idiom here and someone will likely respond but I'm looking for more of a "one stop" site that will give me the origin if it is known. Thank You in advance, Juan |

| Yes, there are such sites. All you have to do is google a specific idiom and you will probably find one. (Many idioms are explained here, but I don't think we delve into origins much.) Give me a "minute" and I will find such a website. (Somebody else will probably come up with one before I do.) |

If you or anyone else can point me to a site that would satisfy both needs, I would greatly appreciate it..... |
