Changing the order of words

There's an evil spirit lives"
?

Lyrics are not always grammatical. Since it's a lyric, You probably want the line to end with lives. So you could also use:

Deep inside your imagination,
There an evil spirit lives.

It's not there is/there are that causes the problem.

The line, 'There's an evil spirit lives,' without the contraction is,

'There is an evil spirit lives.'

You can't say, 'is lives,' only 'is living,' or 'that lives.'

Just as you wouldn't say, 'I am posts a question to the forum,' but, 'I am posting a question to the forum.'

If you want to retain 'there,' you could say, 'There an evil spirit lives.'
