| I'm on a quick easy translation but one idiom makes me drink too much coffee these days : Just one more hit to make it right But every one turns into seven What does turns into seven means? Is it an idiom or just "one becomes 7" and thats all? Thanks for you answers |

| Hello Fiouse, The speaker tells himself that "one more hit" will resolve matters; self-delusorily, though, since instead of "one more hit", another seven follow. Best wishes, MrP

Examples: I meant to bet just $100, but the $100 turned into $1000 before the night was over. I thought just one more slice of cake would be just right, but before I knew it, one had turned into four and I was feeling ill. I hope this is helpful, Petra |

| Just one more hit to make it right But every one turns into seven Now that's it's snowing in your brain Even ten will not placate you This ain't no cure for the pain. Is this about a 'hit' of heroin or cocaine (to dull emotional pain/feelings of loneliness/emptiness), and the idea that 'one more hit' will ease the pain - 'make it right'- but it doesn't, so it's another and another, till seven... 'even ten' won't do it. |
