Idioms relating to Personality Adjectives
Does anyone know any idioms which relate to personality adjectives such as optimistic, pessomistic, fussy, nosy, inquisitive, aggressive, open, communicative etc. This is for my CELTA lesson.
Thanks a lot

You could go through the animal idioms:
As sly as a fox, etc.
There's a thread here somewhere about animal idioms. Some of these refer to personality.

Here's a few:
"To be cool and collected" is not to be easily excited, even under pressure.
"As mean as the devil" is to be a very bad person.
"To be a lazy dog" is to be very lazy.
"To be thick between the ears" to be slow to understand.
"To be slow off the mark" is to be slow to act or to react to an event or situation.
