Hi there, can anybody tell me the meaning of this idiom?:-?
"it rubs on you"
I've never heard this.
Perhaps you mean 'It rubs off on you'.
'He's a great teacher; his enthusiasm for his subject really rubs off on you.'
It means his enthusiasm is infectious and everbody is inspired by it.
