Re: Crazy about/crazy over As in the mathematical sense (to add a series of numbers) add is an action ("I would like to add a built-in cell phone to my new vehicle.") while add on (or add-on) is an object, typically optional ("A built-in cell phone is available as an add-on.").
If you use Firefox or Thunderbird, there are numerous add-ons available to modify performance.
At the simplest, you add an add-on.
