Question idiom... "set back a bit"??? please, help...

I´ve got difficulties to understand this: "something that you bought recently that set you back a bit?"... "that set you back a bit"? I have no idea what it means, I looked for it everywhere but unsuccessfully... Could anyone help me with the translation? Thanks in advance...

WElcome to the forums.

In the context of buying something, "set you back a little" means it cost more money than you expected.
