I hope everyone is doing well. Let's start a thread about phrasel verbs. It's better to aks question and get answers or post exercises so we can learn from each other. Let's get started by this exercise: the phrasal verb equivalents for the following: 'to make something appear less important' 'to continue doing something' 'to decide not to do something that was previously arranged' 'to be like a member of the family in appearance or manner' 'to not be able to make people forget a mistake you have made' Can anyone start answering please?? Thanks in advance. sara

Thanks for your reply Bobk but unfortunatly I didn't quite get what you mean. As for the phrasel verb you have given, I think it doesn't much the last definition of the exercise. It means: "to be unable to stop feeling embarrassed about something you have done: I wish I'd never opened my mouth in the meeting - I'm never going to live it down!"

Hello friends. Can anyone help me do the last exercise ??! Let's add this one: the phrasal verb equivalents for the following: 'to become strict' 'to refuse an offer or request' 'to write and ask for something to be posted to you' 'to have a good relationship with someone' 'to postpone' I'll try to answer some and hope that you will correct me: 'to have a good relationship with someone'== get along well. 'to refuse an offer or request'== give up something. Thanks in advance. sara
