Hi,
how can I know if a noun is countable or uncountable?

You can not have advices, helps, feedbacks, or informations. You can give some advice, get some help, receive some feedback, or require some information. Adjectives that do not apply:

many

The word "effort" is a count noun.
effort - OneLook Dictionary Search
Like other count nouns, it takes an article. Examples:
an effort
an orange
an hour
an opera
an audition
an audience
It's not usual, but you can put a number in front of it. Example:
He made two efforts, then he quit.
