1.what is the difference between said and told?which is more apt? and please explain why?
I said not to repeat it.
I told not to repeat it.

2.Is it's and its the same?If so,which is more often used.?

3.I have joined for a short term course.i want to know for how many days classes will be there.Is it right to ask what is the duration of the course?

4.Is it correct to say 'A person has big stomach' ( who has a projected stomach with full of fat.)

Tell- to make known.
I told him not to repeat it . You made it known that he should not repeat it.
It's-Contraction of It is and it has.
It's raining.-It is raining.
It's been said.-It has been said.
Its-possessive pronoun.

Yes, but you would most likely see (or hear):

He told it to somebody.
He told his story.
He told a story.
He told a lie.
He told it to me.
He told it to me in confidence.
He told me a secret.

There are many other possibilities.
