Today, I have read about the different approaches used to teach a Foreign language (as English). What I have understood is that there are many, but I have found some ambiguities. So, my questions are:

- Do we mean by the Standard System the Grammar Translation Method?

- Do we mean by the Natural Approach the Communicative Approach?

- Is the Cognitive Approach useful and successful?

- According to you as teachers, what approach do you think is really useful and effective nowadays ?
