Default Intensive DELTA

Hello,

Has anyone out there done an intensive DELTA course? I am considering doing one in Spain and would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Thanks

Rachel

No direct experience, Rach, but when I was doing my CELTA both my tutors - who had DELTAs - advised strongly against doing the intensive version. (Well, perhaps they didn't advise against it so much as suggest that anyone who did it must be mad! They both took the DELTA over 9 mths, on top of a teaching job. (Unfortunately, as I'm finding, you need a DELTA to get a teaching job, in the UK, that is.)

Hello again Bob!

I am not allowed to send messages to other users until I have posted 10 messages but it was great to hear from another EFL teacher who is not too far away. It would be great to chat more so I better start posting so that I can reply to your message!

Sorry about that, but we had to introduce it as a security measure after we got some of those spammers claiming to have gold from African dictators that they wanted to deposit in our bank accounts. I am afraid that the war on spam means that we have to impose these instructions. Feel free just to ram the requisite number in this thread, then use the messaging facility.

I did an MA instead of the DELTA, but I did live with someone who took it and they were given the same advice.

And I think you could even delete them afterwards and the count of posts would be unaffected!
