Hi, teachers: Can you point me in the direction of lists of frequently-used Latin and French words in English??
I'm preparing for next year's GRE test and have noticed that they test Latin and French words too.
I know basic ones like etc, pm, am, bc,(Latin) and chauffeur, entrepreneur...(French). But these are way too regular and GRE tests more "advanced" ones like coup de theatre, cul-de-sac. Where can I find in-depth Latin and French words in English?? They have to be harder than basic ones, and be widely accepted and used.
I remember seeing many "in-depth" Latin words but can recall few of them now. Please help. Hearty thanks in advance.
