Located along, around , on

I don't know which preposition should I choose?

My favorite place is the Royal Botanical gardens located on / along /around lake Ontario.

Ok, back to your question. I had to look up the location of the gardens to determine which response was correct. The gardens are near the edge of the lake so really ON or ALONG sounds fine to me. I would probably tend to say ON. If you sound AROUND then I would think the lake is small and the gardens are huge --- which is not the case.

I would probably say "along" in this case, since it is a garden. A building would be on the lake.

(And "response" is spelled with an "s.")
