I would like to know if the expression 'to put to the back of someones' mind' is used or should I stick with the usual one 'to put in/at the back of someones' mind'?

I've never come across it with "to".

This is the context:

'All the thoughts of fleeing home that she had long ago put to the back of her mind began pushing themselves forward.'
