Hi there,

I want to know how to write to my friend this:

I wont tell you anything about [blah blah] to leave it as a surprise.

Is there any idiom or better sentence than that in bold letters?

PS: this sentence just to clarify what I mean.

I can't immediately think of any relevant idioms. I would probably express it as "I won't tell you anything about [blah blah] just now; I'll keep it as a surprise".

OK! Do you know a site where I can find idioms?

I won't tell you anything about [blah blah] to leave it as a surprise.

You could say... because it would spoil the surprise.

 - 'spoil' collocates much better with 'surprise'. Another possibility is to rewrite the sentence, using the expression 'keep it as a surprise'.

I won't tell you anything about it - I don't want to let the cat out of the bag.
