" a chair and other 3 items in the room" is this correct?

There are a chair, a pillow, a TV, and a table in the room.
There are 4 items in the room.



Briefly, can I say "There a chair and other 3 items in the room"???

Are there no other items- most of these are furniture.

That's wrong. Because the first item in the list is singular, you should use a singular verb (is).

There are 4 items in the room.
OK, but we tend to write out numbers ten and under (when referring to amounts/quantities) in words.
Briefly, can I say "There a chair and other 3 items in the room"?
No, because that's missing a verb!
 
This was recently covered in some depth in another thread. Unfortunately, I can't locate that thread because the Search function won't allow me to search for "There's or there are" (which I think is what the thread was called).
