Hello,

In the context of talking about a garden / forest, does "abundance of green" work as a collocation? Is this sentence okay?

There exists a sheer abundance of green in the garden which is really calming.

Consider that many readers find an overabundance of syllables irksome. :)

It's possible. Consider an abundance of greenery.

But other than that, does the collocation work?
Sheer and exists are not necessary. A comma after which is. (You're not telling us which garden. You're describing it.)

Do you mean like this? Or before "which"?

There is an abundance of green in the garden which is, really calming.

I want to suggest the abundance of green is calming.

Try:

The abundance of greenery is calming.

Ugh. Sorry! A comma BEFORE which.

Once again, I'm typing faster than I'm thinking. (Which isn't saying much.)

Is it the green (the color) which is calming or the abundance of it?
