So I was watching TED talk, which was about quitting social media, this morning and I have found a word and sentence that I could not look up the meanings even on google...
The word was "bloodism" in a sentence, "to reject social media would be an act of extreme [bloodism]." And the sentence was, "I can't take such a big stance in my life."
Can you tell me the meanings of the word and sentence?

Thank you!

Re: Questions!!

I never heard of bloodism before, and please get out of the habit of thanking people in the first post. (Instead, use the Thank button.)

I would need the person who used it to explain it to me.

Re: Questions!!

Could it have been Luddism?

ditjdahr, please note that I have changed your thread title.

I'm very confident that he says Luddism.

bloodism is not an existing word.

The 'm' sound in 'extreme' is a bit tricky for me.
I would have heard "bloodism" like the OP did.
I didn't know the word "Luddism".

I understand. The combination of /m/ and /l/ sounds a bit like /bl/.
