Could you please tell if "potential for change" should be understood in general sense, or if it is of "nature of consciousness"?

The phrase potential for change is in reference to psychiatric practice. If you have a psychological disorder, the aim is to make psychological changes.

It's nothing to do with the simplicity (or otherwise) of the question. It a copyright issue. Whenever you quote someone else's words, you must provide the source and author.
