Does this sentence sound natural?

Ansible is developed by Red Hat Inc., which is now a subsidiary of IBM.

Context: Ansible is the name of a computer software. The subsidiary is "Red Hat Inc." not the software "Ansible". I'm not sure if that is clear the way I wrote the text. I would be grateful for any suggestion.

Ansible was developed by Red Hat Inc., which is now a subsidiary of IBM.

Context: Ansible is the name of a piece/type of computer software. The subsidiary is "Red Hat Inc.", not the software "Ansible". I'm not sure if that is clear the way I wrote the text. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Yes, your sentence is natural and makes it clear that "Red Hat Inc" is the subsidiary.

Please note that I have changed your thread title. Titles should be unique and relevant to the thread, and should include some/all of the words/phrases you are asking us about.

Another opinion:

If Ansible already exists, say "Ansible was developed . . . ." If it's being created now, say "Ansible is being developed . . . ."
