Let me introduce my mentor. My mentor is my father. He is always with me and encourages me to challenge for my goals. When I dithered over whether to be a candidate for the president of the student council, he advised me to take the bull by the horns, and enjoy myself heartily with the situation. Also, he recommended me not to set limits for myself. He said that my abilities will then be improved. Thanks to him, I can keep on studying hard, doing a role as the school president.

To answer your question: not all of them. For sentence three, try:

He encourages me to set goals and strive to reach them.

Say:

When I dithered over whether to be a candidate for president of the student council....

And:

Also, he recommended that I not set limits for myself.

Say:

Thanks to him I can keep studying hard while fulfilling my role as president of the student council.

He said that my abilities [STRIKE]will[/STRIKE] would then [STRIKE]be[/STRIKE][STRIKE] improved[/STRIKE] improve.
