Which one is correct if I want to ask someone if they have finished some thing?

I have never come across 'He is finished' with the meaning of 'he is condemned'.

"Sb is finished" does't necesarily mean he/she is doomed.

In this sentence ,in my humble opinion "finished" may mean sb is not successful or a failure, not condemned.

I think I agree with all the posts!

In my opinion:

- "Are you finished?" is heard but is the less grammatical version of "Have you finished?" which would be the logical interrogative in the present perfect. You will hear all sorts of permutations of it though "Are you finished?", "Are you done?", "Have you finished?", "You done with that yet?"

- "He's finished", in the relevant context can mean that someone is beaten, they have no more fight in them, or perhaps that they are about to die, probably in some kind of fight.
