A: Will you still consider your idol your idol if he/she does something wrong?
Silver: Sure. No one is perfect. As far as drug abuse is concerned, if he doesn't get involved in it.

The intended meaning of the red sentence is "I'm okay if he does things wrong because no one is perfect and people make mistakes and no matter what he does but not drug abuse, I could forgive him".

Is my red sentence natural?

Silver: Sure. No one is perfect.. So long as it doesn't involve drug abuse.

It seems to me that this question should be expressed as an unreal conditional, not a real one.
