I have chosen a couple of IELTS practice speaking topics and written a paragraph about each one. Please check them and correct any mistakes.

1. In your opinion, how will e-books affect paper books?

E-books will reduce the amount of paper publications but they can't replace them completely. These days, people spend a lot of time on computers and smart phones so our eyes are tired easily. Some people therefore choose to read paper books more often, especially long ones or some that need to be reread for work purposes. And since we can read sample paper from e-books, it helps people make better decisions on whether they should buy them in paper ones.

2. What's the difference between films and books?

Films visualises the stories in books. Also, sound effects are added to films. Books allow us to have more imaginations. Although some books give detailed descriptions, readers can still have their own interpretations on lines, characters' appearances, environment of the places.

Those are good points. You might also think about whether print is:

- durable. Can you still read a ten-year-old CD ROM? A thirty-year-old floppy? A hundred-year-old book?

- affordable. What does an e-reader cost? A cell phone? A computer? A tablet?

- convenient. Would you ever have to plug in or recharge a book? A newspaper?

- accessible. How many books and periodicals exist? How many of them will ever be digitized? All? Half? Ten percent? One percent?

- enjoyable. Have you ever curled up with a good book?

I hope that helps!

How many books and periodicals exist?

Countless. And they keep producing more of them (of varying quality).

How about since we can preview e-books?

And remember that everyone previews books and magazines, too, by opening them and reading a little—just like e-books (but more easily, because you can flip pages without scrolling, swiping, or clicking.

Not everyone. I have bought plenty of books online and offline without reading any more than the blurb.
