The businessmen think that if the construction of the bridge is completed and the supply of gas is ensured, the number of industries near the project areas will mushroom. Keeping the Padma bridge in mind, the entrepreneurs has been taking initiatives for the last five years to establish industries in different places of south-western regions of the country. It is expected that the total Gross Domestic Product will increase by 1.2% because of the industries which have already been established considering the prospects of proposed Padma bridge in the south-western regions.
