It is neither "written by Mark Twain" nor "completed by Mark Twain." So I guess that "complete" here mean "Everything written by Mark Twain is in this book." I am not sure.

What does "complete" mean here?

You're parsing it wrong. It's not 'complete by Mark Twain'. Read it as 'The (complete) Adventures of Tom Sawyer'.

Here 'complete' means the entire, original text, not just a condensed or abridged version.

How could it be everything written by Mark Twain when there's only one title listed? Twain wrote around 22 books!
