If you are (as) cool as a cucumber, you are very calm and able to think clearly often in a difficult situation. What does "cool as a cucumber with somebody" mean?

I understand he means she's seemed not particularly interested, aloof with me. Now, in contrast, she seems very interested, romantically-speaking.

It's grammatically OK but it isn't natural. Even though the phrase is used in the second scene in the video clip, "with me" doesn't fit naturally.

In BrE we have the phrase play it cool (with somebody)

If you really like somebody romantically, you don't want to scare them away by acting too interested, so you should play it cool. I think he has this in mind. That is, I think he's combining play it cool with as cool as a cucumber.

It's not a common figure of speech to say be as cool as a cucumber with somebody.
