If I want someone to take a photo of my friend and I, will the following question be OK?
Could you please take a photo of us?

Now, If I want to ask my professor to have a photo together at the end of an academic years, what is the appropriate question to ask him?
Professor, can we have photo together?

Could you please take a photo of us?' Yes, or 'Could you please take our photo?'

Does the parenthesis imply in the following?or is it a causative verb as we are asking someone else to do something for us?
'Professor, can we have a photo (which is going to be) taken (by someone else) together?

They are politely asking the professor if he/she will take their picture.
